There may also be the opportunity for specific training for individual athletes requesting assistance with specific skills. Make your request known to the team manager as soon as possible.

Parent Assistance
No programme of Little Athletics competition can be held without the assistance of parents to act as officials. This year the club has been assigned to help at Shot Put 2 and the Back Straight Gates for the season. We will be using a roster system which ensures we provide adequate officials without the same parents helping all the time. All parents must assist when rostered, please see weekly newsletters for the roster. If you are unable to assist you must advise Val prior to competition day so we can change the roster.
NOTE all parents must help throughout the season, if you do not assist your childs points will be affected which will inturn affect their end of season results.

Wet Weather
During wet weather, there is the possibility that competition will be cancelled for the day. If you are unsure if competition will proceed, please check the Whittlesea City Centre Facebook page for details as it will be updated as soon as the decision is made. Alternatively ring a member of the Executive Committee.

Championships
Apart from the normal centre programme, athletes may represent the Centre in Region and State competition meetings. Any athlete can enter these competitions on having competed in 4 weekly centre competitions. Competitors selected must wear the centre uniform, which can be purchased through the Centre.

Cross Country
Following the Track and Field season, a cross country programme commences from early April and runs through to the end of July. All registered athletes are welcome to attend. Events are conducted in all age groups and consist of distance runs across natural terrain.
